The 2026 World Economic Forum Global Gender Gap Report (read details here) continues to reveal, year after year, something every young person and every parent should know: there is still a 40% gap in economic opportunity between genders.  

Why is it that in health and education there is gender parity throughout the world, but when it comes to Politics and Business/Economics, there is such disparity?  Well, ask yourself, where does the power live? In healthcare? In Education? Nothing to 'lose' there. But in Economics? In Politics? Ahhhhhh, decision making power. 

That huge gap in politics and economics affects everything—career access, leadership roles, financial independence, and who gets to sit at the tables where the world changing decisions are made.

At the current pace, true economic gender parity won’t be reached until the year 2175.
